About the Opportunity:
The SOFTWARE ENGINEER 2 - DEVELOPMENT INFRASTRUCTURE will lead the design and delivery of complex features and systems within the Development Infrastructure team. This role focuses on enhancing and maintaining CI/CD infrastructure and tools to enable engineering teams to develop and deploy software efficiently. The position is critical for improving system scalability, performance, cost-efficiency, and operational reliability, directly impacting the effectiveness of the engineering organization.
Responsibilities:
Lead design and delivery of multi-component features and systems in development infrastructure.
Develop and maintain CI/CD infrastructure and tools to support reliable software deployment.
Enhance GitHub Actions infrastructure, base Docker images, and build/deploy pipelines.
Utilize AI tools to evaluate and adapt solutions within production constraints.
Manage on-call issues, diagnose root causes, and address systemic problems.
Participate in planning, code reviews, standups, and mentor teammates.
Requirements:
Minimum 3 years of professional engineering experience building backend systems or platforms.
At least 2 years of experience with Python.
Proven experience delivering complex projects end-to-end in cloud native environments.
Experience with CI/CD, build, or deployment systems in production including incident response.
Understanding of distributed systems, containerization, and microservices.
Practical experience using Generative AI tools in engineering workflows.
Pay Range and Compensation Package:
Base salary range: $149,200 to $214,500 USD.
Compensation includes potential bonus or incentive pay, equity, and comprehensive benefits.
