Job Summary
We are seeking a mid-level .NET Developer (Angular, REST API, .NET Core, ASP.NET, C#, SQL Server) who builds critical healthcare business applications using an AI-assisted, agentic development workflow. You will use GitHub Copilot (Chat, agent mode, and the Copilot coding agent) as a daily partner to design, code, test, and document features, while owning the quality and correctness of everything the AI helps produce.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and implement business applications using .NET Core, C#, ASP.NET, Angular 15+, REST APIs and Microsoft SQL Server.
• Use GitHub Copilot agent mode and the AI coding agents to scaffold features, generate unit tests, refactor legacy code, and fix defects from well-written GitHub issues.
• Write clear prompts, task specifications, and repository custom instructions so Copilot produces code that follows team standards.
• Critically review, test, and validate all AI-generated code for correctness, security, performance, and PHI/HIPAA safety before merging.
• Create design documents when required; perform coding, debugging, and testing across the .NET software lifecycle.
• Develop web applications using Service-Oriented Architecture and n-tier design.
• Understand, maintain, and modernize existing applications and code bases.
• Deliver projects on time with high quality and performance; participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and Azure DevOps work-item management.
Required Skills & Qualification
• 4–6 years of experience with the Microsoft .NET platform – C#, ASP.NET, .NET Core, .NET Framework 4.0, ADO.NET, REST APIs.
• Angular 15+ and SQL / Microsoft SQL Server are mandatory.
• Hands-on, day-to-day experience using GitHub Copilot (Chat, inline completions, agent mode) in a professional codebase, including prompting, iterating on, and correcting AI output.
• Strong object-oriented programming skills with working knowledge of application architecture and design patterns.
• Experience designing, building, and supporting n-tier applications; exposure to all phases of the SDLC.
• Experience with Git / GitHub (branching, pull requests, code review).
• Ability to take ownership of deliverables, attention to detail, and good written and verbal English communication.
Preferred Skills
• Experience with the GitHub Copilot coding agent (assigning issues to Copilot, coding, reviewing agent PRs) and other Agentic AI Tools.
• Familiarity with MCP servers or other agent tooling that connects Copilot to databases, APIs, or Azure DevOps.
• Exposure to the Healthcare domain and HL7 / FHIR integrations.
• Experience with Agile, Azure DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions or Azure Pipelines).
• Experience with VB.NET, Crystal Reports, or Entity Framework.
• Basic understanding of Azure services (App Services, Functions, SQL Database).
• Microsoft or GitHub certifications (e.g., GitHub Copilot certification, Azure Developer Associate).
• Experience with EMR/PMs is a plus
