Role Description The TGT Science role is a full-time, on-site position based in Mumbai. The teacher will plan and deliver engaging science lessons aligned with CBSE curriculum standards, using innovative methods to make concepts accessible and stimulating for middle school learners. Daily responsibilities include preparing lesson plans, conducting classroom teaching, organizing practical activities and demonstrations, assessing student work, and maintaining accurate academic records. The role involves providing academic support, mentoring learners, collaborating with colleagues on interdisciplinary projects, and participating in school events, meetings, and professional development initiatives. The teacher will also contribute to maintaining a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, critical thinking, and scientific inquiry.
Qualifications
Strong subject knowledge in Science and the ability to teach core concepts clearly and accurately.
Well-developed Analytical Skills and a problem-solving approach to support student learning and assessment.
Effective Communication skills, including clear classroom instruction and constructive feedback to learners and families.
Background in Education, with experience in CBSE or similar school systems and familiarity with age-appropriate pedagogy.
Research skills to update teaching materials, integrate current scientific developments, and design inquiry-based activities.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Science (Physics/Chemistry/Biology or related field) with B.Ed. or equivalent teacher training qualification.
Experience teaching at the middle school level (TGT) in a formal school setting, preferably CBSE-affiliated.
Ability to use basic educational technology and digital tools for lesson planning, delivery, and student assessment.
Commitment to inclusive, learner-centered teaching and participation in co-curricular and school-wide activities.
