Role Description The BIM Trainer will design and deliver engaging online training sessions focused on Building Information Modeling (BIM) concepts, tools, and workflows for civil engineering students and professionals. This part-time, remote role involves creating course materials, tutorials, assignments, and assessments that reflect current industry practices. The BIM Trainer will provide learner support through doubt-clearing sessions, feedback on assignments, and guidance on applying BIM skills to real-world projects. The role also includes updating content based on software advances and industry trends, collaborating with the Protrainy team to improve learning outcomes, and participating in occasional curriculum planning and review meetings.
Qualifications
Strong BIM expertise with practical experience using tools such as Autodesk Revit and related BIM software for civil/structural projects.
Solid foundation in civil and structural engineering concepts, including design workflows and coordination with other disciplines.
Experience in online teaching, training, or mentoring, with the ability to explain complex technical topics in a clear, structured manner.
Ability to design training materials such as slide decks, practical exercises, project-based assignments, and assessments.
Comfort working in a remote environment, with reliable internet access and proficiency in using video conferencing and learning platforms.
Strong communication and presentation skills, with a learner-focused and inclusive approach to training.
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field; prior industry experience is highly beneficial.
Certification or formal training in BIM software (e.g., Autodesk Revit) and familiarity with other tools like ETABS or PRIMAVERA is an advantage.
