Role Description The Prepress Executive role at Testing Grounds is a full-time, on-site position based in Mumbai. In this role, the individual prepares and reviews artwork files for print production, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance with technical specifications and brand guidelines. Typical responsibilities include checking layouts and color separations, managing file formats, coordinating with design, production, and printing teams, and troubleshooting prepress issues. The Prepress Executive also maintains organized documentation of jobs, adheres to quality and safety standards, and supports continuous improvement of prepress workflows. Collaboration, attention to detail, and timely delivery of print-ready files are critical to success in this position.
Qualifications
Strong knowledge of prepress processes, print production workflows, and packaging or commercial printing standards.
Proficiency with industry-standard design and prepress software (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, PDF tools, RIP software).
Ability to review and prepare artwork files, perform color correction, and manage color profiles and separations.
Excellent attention to detail, quality focus, and ability to identify and resolve technical issues before printing.
Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with design, production, and vendor teams.
Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple jobs and meet tight deadlines.
Relevant diploma or degree in Printing Technology, Graphic Arts, Design, or a related field; prior prepress experience is an advantage.
Familiarity with safety, compliance, and quality assurance practices in a manufacturing or packaging environment.
