About Berry AI
Berry AI builds AI-powered operations platforms for quick-service restaurants (QSRs): drive-thru analytics, loss prevention, and store management tooling deployed at thousands of locations across the US and growing. Each store runs on a system we design end to end: edge servers and cameras on site, computer vision models reading video in real restaurant conditions, and the software on top (BerryBoard, real-time dashboards, and APIs) that turns what the cameras see into decisions for operators.
About the Role
We're looking for a technically strong, execution-driven Senior Product Manager to own the software features, data insights, and ML capabilities of our in-store AI system. Every Berry AI store deployment combines an edge server, multiple cameras, and networking equipment with BerryBoard, real-time dashboards, and APIs. In this role you will turn customer needs and store data into software specs and model priorities, track hardware delivery against defined specs, and make sure hardware changes never reduce AI model accuracy or data quality.
The ideal candidate has shipped software and data/AI products, ideally with exposure to hardware, has a technical background, and communicates clearly across internal teams and external suppliers. You'll work closely with our engineering team in Taipei, our Customer Success and Sales teams in the US, and external partners including Flytech and our camera vendors.
What you'll work on
- Own the end-to-end product lifecycle of AI platform features, from problem discovery to launch and post-launch iteration.
- Track hardware delivery against defined specs: coordinate supply and inventory with Flytech and our suppliers, and follow engineering test and validation results. Partner with our Customer Success team on field issues in the US.
- Turn store and model data into insights: define product metrics, analyze model and feature performance, and work with the ML team on training data, labeling, and evaluation priorities.
- Collaborate with MLOps, AI researchers, backend, and data teams to deliver scalable, high-impact AI-driven solutions.
- Define product requirements, prioritize features, and manage trade-offs across engineering feasibility, business impact, and user needs.
- Drive initiatives in data pipeline reliability, model deployment tooling, performance monitoring, and AI/ML model delivery infrastructure.
- Work closely with Design and Customer Success to shape the user experience and gather continuous feedback.
- Serve as the bridge between business and technical stakeholders, ensuring clarity and alignment at every stage.
You're a strong fit if you have
- 5+ years in product management roles with end-to-end product ownership, including at least 2 years owning software/SaaS products.
- Demonstrated end-to-end product ownership: product discovery, PRDs and specs, launch, and iteration, ideally including 0-to-1 work. You write functional specs independently, and you form hypotheses and validate them with analytics and metrics.
- Experience working on ML/AI products: understanding of the model lifecycle (data collection, labeling, training, evaluation, monitoring) and how data quality and hardware conditions affect model accuracy.
- Fluent spoken and written Mandarin Chinese and English.
We'd love to see
- Curiosity about hardware and a willingness to learn how edge servers, cameras, and networking shape the product. Hands-on hardware experience is a plus, not a requirement.
- A bachelor's degree or above in electrical engineering, electronics, computer science, or a related technical field, or equivalent hands-on engineering experience.
- Experience with AI vision, video surveillance (VMS / NVR), or IoT products.
- Experience with US restaurant chains, retailers, or other multi-store customers, or experience integrating with POS systems.
WHY JOIN BERRY AI
At Berry AI, we're on a mission to bring real-time computer vision and AI into the physical operations of restaurants and retailers, turning everyday stores into smarter, faster, and more data-driven environments.
We've already partnered with leading QSR brands to deploy AI-driven solutions that improve service speed, reduce bottlenecks, and enhance customer experience at scale. But we're just getting started.
As a team, we value clarity over chaos, bias to action, and product thinking grounded in real-world impact. You'll work alongside talented engineers, PMs, and designers who are obsessed with solving tough operational problems through elegant AI systems.
By joining Berry AI, you'll have the opportunity to:
- Drive 0-to-1 product innovation in real-world AI applications: not just models, but systems that matter.
- Shape the future of AI infrastructure in drive-thrus, kitchens, and the front lines of retail.
- Work in a lean, fast-moving startup where your decisions directly shape the product, the team, and the company.
- Work directly with end users and see your product deliver value in live environments: not just data and dashboards, but real customers in real scenarios.
If you're passionate about bridging the gap between AI and the real world, and want to build something that scales across industries and borders, we'd love to meet you.
