Junior Develope (Entry-Level / Junior)

Role Description The Junior Developer (Entry-Level / Junior) role is a part-time, remote position focused on supporting small experimental software projects and internal tools. Day-to-day tasks may include writing and maintaining simple scripts, assisting with web or backend development, testing features, documenting code, and helping troubleshoot basic technical issues. The role may also involve experimenting with APIs, automation tools, and AI-related services, as well as collaborating on concepts that demonstrate good and bad uses of outreach and automation. The Junior Developer will work closely with a mentor or project lead, follow clear technical guidelines, and learn best practices in clean code, version control, and secure development.
Qualifications
Foundational programming skills in at least one language (e.g., JavaScript, Python, or similar) and familiarity with basic software development concepts.
Understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, basic frontend frameworks or libraries) and interest in building simple web tools or prototypes.
Experience or interest in using APIs, automation tools, or AI-related services (e.g., ChatGPT) to build small utilities or proof-of-concept applications.
Basic knowledge of version control (preferably Git) and comfort working with remote repositories and collaborative workflows.
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to learn quickly from documentation and code examples.
Clear written communication skills and the ability to document code, decisions, and experiments in a structured way.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage part-time hours responsibly, and ask for help when needed.
Interest in ethical technology use, thoughtful automation, and respectful digital communication; prior project or portfolio examples are a plus.
