Job Summary
Kala Akaar & Associates is looking for a creative and detail-oriented Architect to develop architectural designs, prepare technical drawings, and support the planning and execution of building and infrastructure projects. The candidate should have a strong understanding of architectural design, building planning, construction documentation, and relevant design software.
Key Responsiblities
Develop architectural concepts, designs, layouts, and plans according to project requirements.
Prepare architectural drawings, floor plans, elevations, sections, and detailed working drawings.
Prepare site plans, building layouts, and presentation drawings.
Use AutoCAD and other relevant software to develop accurate architectural drawings and designs.
Coordinate with civil engineers, structural engineers, interior designers, and other project team members.
Review drawings and ensure compliance with applicable building regulations, standards, and project specifications.
Conduct site visits to assess site conditions and monitor project progress.
Assist in preparing technical reports, design presentations, and project documentation.
Review and revise drawings based on client feedback and project requirements.
Support the preparation of project proposals, quantity estimates, and BOQs as required.
Ensure timely completion of assigned tasks while maintaining drawing accuracy and quality.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Architecture (B.Arch) from a recognized institution.
Valid registration with the Council of Architecture (COA), where required for the role.
Proficiency in AutoCAD.
Knowledge of SketchUp, Revit, Photoshop, Lumion, or other architectural visualization software will be an advantage.
Strong knowledge of architectural drawings, building planning, and construction detailing.
Understanding of building bylaws, development control regulations, and applicable architectural standards.
Good communication, coordination, and presentation skills.
Strong analytical, creative, and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet project deadlines.
Experience
1–3 years of relevant experience in architectural design or consultancy is preferred.
Freshers with a B.Arch degree and strong technical skills may also apply.
