Yodaplus is a Mumbai-based Agentic AI company building enterprise solutions for banking, financial services, insurance and capital markets. We are ISO 27001 and SOC 2 certified, with clients and partners across India, Middle East and USA.
We combine products and services:
• Products: GenRPT Finance (agentic equity research), KYC Bharat (KYC and onboarding), Credit Limits Monitoring Framework (development banks)
• Services: Forward Deployed Engineers who design and ship AI agents inside client workflows, starting from a working prototype
The Role
As CTO, you will own technology at Yodaplus: architecture, engineering quality, security and the team that delivers. You will report to [CEO] and work closely with the Chief Revenue Officer, product and delivery leaders to turn client problems into reliable, secure AI products and deployments.
This is a hands-on leadership role. You will set technical direction and still go deep when it matters.
What you will do
• Define and own the technology vision, architecture and roadmap for our products and engineering services
• Lead the design, build and deployment of secure, scalable, cloud-native systems and agentic AI solutions
• Set engineering standards for code quality, performance, security, CI/CD and release management
• Build, hire, mentor and retain a high-performing engineering team; run code reviews and architecture discussions
• Partner with sales and product to shape solutions, support client discovery and handle CIO/CTO-level technical and security reviews (ISO 27001, SOC 2, data residency)
• Own delivery quality and timelines across products and client deployments, working with QA, DevOps and Product
• Evaluate and introduce new technologies (LLMs, agent frameworks, data platforms) that improve product capability and efficiency
• Manage cloud cost, vendor choices and the technology budget
• Report technology progress, risks and priorities to the leadership team
What you bring
• Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
• 8-12+ years of software engineering experience, including 5+ years leading engineering teams
• Proven ownership of architecture for production systems, including microservices and API design (REST/GraphQL)
• Strong hands-on depth in Python and React (JavaScript/TypeScript), and in AWS (Lambda, API Gateway, S3, DynamoDB, CloudWatch)
• Experience with CI/CD, Git-based workflows, Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience delivering AI/ML or GenAI solutions in production
• Strong grounding in application and cloud security, and in working with security audits and compliance
• Clear communication with CXOs, clients and cross-functional teams, and the ability to inspire and guide engineers
Good to have
• Experience building products for banks, NBFCs, insurers, AMCs or brokerages
• Agentic AI, RAG or LLM-orchestration experience
• Experience scaling an engineering team in a startup or scale-up
• Exposure to UK or US clients
