Adjuncts are essential to Liberty University’s mission of Training Champions for Christ. The dissertation chair plays a pivotal role in guiding the candidate through the research process. As the primary advisor of the dissertation process, the chair is responsible for providing expert guidance, ensuring the research process aligns with academic standards, and overseeing the candidate's progress from proposal development to final defense. The chair’s responsibilities include reviewing completed chapters, offering constructive feedback, and helping the candidate refine the research. Additionally, the chair collaborates with relevant stakeholders to ensure that all aspects of the research process, including methodology and subject matter, meet the rigor expected in academia.
