About the role

Description supplied by the original job listing.

ABOUT YOU
You are a strategic, highly driven marketing professional who understands that great marketing should directly support business growth. You bring 8+ years of marketing experience, ideally within the architecture, engineering, construction, commercial real estate, development, or related industries, and understand how complex capital projects come together.
You are equally comfortable developing strategy and executing the details. You can take complex project, design, and construction information and turn it into compelling stories that resonate with owners, developers, institutional leaders, architects, design professionals, and other key decision-makers. You take ownership, communicate with confidence, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and continuously look for ways to improve the playbook.
Most importantly, you see yourself as a business partner — someone who understands the connection between marketing, business development, and growth and is invested in delivering meaningful results.
A DAY IN THE LIFE
As the Senior Manager, Strategic Marketing, you will serve as the dedicated marketing partner for ARCO's Commercial & Institutional sectors throughout the greater New York region. You will work closely with business development, pursuits, operations, and corporate marketing leaders to strengthen ARCO's brand, generate opportunities, and support strategic growth.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Develop and execute integrated marketing strategies aligned with the growth objectives of ARCO's Commercial & Institutional business.
Build and manage marketing campaigns across digital, content, events, and direct channels, tracking performance, lead generation, pipeline contribution, and ROI.
Develop positioning, messaging, thought leadership, case studies, technical content, presentations, and other materials that resonate with key decision-makers.
Support business development through account-based marketing programs targeting corporate and workplace, higher education, healthcare, hospitality, retail, mixed-use, civic, cultural, institutional, and emerging markets.
Attend project kickoffs and jobsites to understand ARCO's work and identify the stories, innovations, milestones, and outcomes that differentiate our projects.
Turn project successes into compelling market-facing content through photography, video, digital content, signage, milestone activations, and other promotional efforts.
Support strategic pursuits by developing proposals, capability statements, pursuit materials, and other client-specific content.
Build relationships with owners, developers, architects, design firms, brokers, institutional leaders, and other industry influencers throughout the New York market.
Support trade shows, industry events, association engagement, and sponsorships across the region.
Monitor market trends and identify opportunities to expand ARCO's presence in established and emerging markets.
Partner with corporate marketing and communications to maintain brand consistency while adapting messaging for local audiences.
Provide leadership with clear reporting, insights, and recommendations on marketing performance and investment opportunities.
NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS
8+ years of marketing experience, with meaningful experience in architecture, engineering, construction, commercial real estate, development, or a related industry.
Working knowledge of capital project execution, including design-build, EPCM, or comparable delivery models.
Ability to communicate credibly about project lifecycle, design, cost, schedule, client objectives, and project risk.
Experience marketing to or within commercial, institutional, corporate, higher education, healthcare, hospitality, retail, mixed-use, civic, cultural, or similar markets.
Experience developing marketing programs and relationships within the New York or broader Northeast market.
Proven ability to develop high-quality technical content, thought leadership, and marketing materials for senior-level audiences.
Strong understanding of business development and how marketing supports revenue growth and strategic pursuits.
Experience with CRM platforms; Microsoft Dynamics 365 preferred.
Experience with marketing automation tools and digital marketing channels.
Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field; advanced degree a plus.
Ability to travel throughout the New York region and domestically as needed.
Excellent written and verbal communication, project management, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and thrive in a high-performance environment.
