About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr Lead Mobile Developer with expertise in React Native to join our team in a hybrid capacity in the San Francisco Bay Area. In this leadership role, you will be responsible for guiding a team of talented engineers, designing and implementing scalable mobile and web solutions, and collaborating closely with the Head of Engineering and Product Managers to drive innovation. Your deep technical knowledge, especially in React Native, Node.js/Express, AWS, and modern data stores, will be essential in shaping the future of our platform. You will also play a key role in mentoring engineers, establishing best practices, and contributing to the development of AI-driven features that enhance our product offerings.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Mobile Developer, Lead, or Engineering Manager with a strong focus on React Native development.
Extensive knowledge of React Native, including architecture, performance optimization, and debugging.
Strong proficiency in Node.js and Express.js for backend development.
Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, particularly AWS, including services such as Lambda, S3, EC2, and RDS.
Familiarity with modern data stores such as MongoDB, DynamoDB, or similar technologies.
Experience leading and mentoring engineering teams, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.
Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to design scalable and maintainable solutions.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degrees are a plus.
Responsibilities
Lead and mentor a team of mobile and web engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, quality, and continuous improvement.
Architect and develop scalable, high-performance mobile applications using React Native.
Collaborate with product managers and designers to translate requirements into technical solutions.
Design and implement backend services using Node.js and Express.js, ensuring seamless integration with mobile applications.
Manage cloud infrastructure on AWS, including deployment, monitoring, and optimization of resources.
Contribute to the development of AI-driven features, leveraging machine learning models and data analytics.
Establish and enforce engineering best practices, code reviews, and testing protocols to maintain high standards.
Stay updated with the latest industry trends and incorporate innovative technologies to enhance product capabilities.
Participate in strategic planning and contribute to the overall technical roadmap of the company.
