Job Description:
Financial Management:
· Ensure controls are in place to mitigate material risks.
· Monitor and control costs in area of responsibility.
· Protect company assets (working capital & fixed assets).
· Minimise waste and rework.
· Updating and reviewing of KBP’s and SOP’s related to the Financial Function.
Customer Relations:
· Measure and monitor customer satisfaction within a business unit and recommend corrective action.
· Monitor customer satisfaction.
· Monitor costing and pricing sent to customers.
· Engaging with customers on pricing and costing.
Supplier Relations:
· Liaise with a range of suppliers, including internal suppliers (Group Head Office and other internal parties).
Responsibilities and duties:
· Develop a standardised policy and procedure of the activity-based costing, inventory management, cost allocations and product development calculation.
· Maintain the line items for direct materials, labour and overhead on the bill of materials and green sheets for all products.
· Conducting detailed analysis of manufacturing costs, including raw materials, labour, and overhead expenses.
· Calculate and analyse product costs, ensuring accuracy and relevance for pricing decisions.
· Evaluate cost implications of new products or changes in production processes.
· Monitoring and improving product margins.
· Monitor actual performance against budgeted costs and proved variance analysis.
· Provide insights into cost trends, deviations and areas of concern to support decision-making.
· Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost efficiency within the manufacturing processes.
· Worke closely and collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product Development, Refiner, Transformation Office, Logistics, Materials planning and Trading teams to implement cost-effective solutions.
· Analysing production costs and variances to identify areas of cost reduction and process improvement.
· Continuously review and update cost data to reflect changes in production processes, materials and overheads.
· Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts related to manufacturing, operations, and overall company expenditures.
· Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and relevant regulations.
· Assist in internal and external audit processes related to cost accounting.
