Schedule: 36 hours per week, Midnight Shift, 7:00pm - 7:30am, Rotating weekends and holidays

Role Overview
As a Surgical Technologist, you will provide essential technical services and assist professional nursing staff and physicians in delivering patient care across all types of surgical procedures. Your role is critical in ensuring a safe, efficient, and organized operating room environment, where you will work closely with the peri-op team to support total patient care and maintain the highest standards of quality and safety.

What You Will Do
Comply with established standards, policies, and procedures, including quality assurance, safety, and infection control, while maintaining a clean and orderly environment for patients and staff.
Communicate and cooperate with others to achieve departmental objectives, ensuring patient rights and confidentiality.
Set up operating rooms with necessary instruments and supplies, following surgeon preferences and routines, and assist with surgical procedures.
Clean, decontaminate, wrap, and sterilize equipment and instruments, and perform preps in nursing units as needed.
Assist in patient transportation and provide support to the scrub or circulating nurse as directed.
Maintain inventory, preserve and label operative specimens, and transport them to the laboratory for analysis.

What You Will Need
Required Qualifications
Certified BLS Provider specializing in Basic Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 6 months of hire date or job transfer date.
Completion of a recognized scrub technician college program or minimum of two years' experience as a Surgical Technician, or minimum of one year experience working as a Certified Surgical Technician.
Preferred Qualifications
Certified Surgical Assistant credentialed from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA).
