About the role

Description supplied by the original job listing.

Location: Bangalore
Function: Marketing
Experience: 3–5 years
Employment Type: Full-time
Industry Experience: Ed-tech mandatory
About upGrad School of Technology
upGrad School of Technology (uGSOT) is building an AI-first undergraduate Computer
Science education experience for the next generation of engineers. We combine a
rigorous B.Tech program with an industry-oriented curriculum, hands-on learning, and
the wider upGrad ecosystem to prepare students for careers in an AI-first world.
About the Role
We are looking for a Performance Marketing Manager to own uGSOT's Google and Meta
Ads channels end-to-end.
This is a hands-on individual contributor role, responsible for acquisition strategy,
campaign execution, optimisation, reporting, lead quality and downstream conversions
against business targets.
You will work closely with creative, content, CRM, sales and analytics teams to improve
campaign performance and build a scalable, data-driven acquisition engine. You will be
directly accountable for the strategy, execution and outcomes of the channel.
What You Will Own
● Own Google Ads and Meta Ads end-to-end: Develop acquisition strategies,
campaign architecture, budgets, audience strategies, bidding approaches and
funnel objectives aligned with business and admissions targets.
● Drive acquisition and downstream conversions: Optimise campaigns against
agreed lead volume, lead quality, CPL, CAC and admissions targets, ensuring
performance is evaluated across the entire acquisition funnel.
● Monitor campaign health and performance: Oversee budgets, pacing, tracking,
attribution and account structure. Maintain performance dashboards, identify
deviations and implement corrective actions.
● Build a systematic experimentation framework: Test and scale creatives,
messaging, audiences, landing pages, offers, bidding strategies and campaign
structures to improve performance.
● Drive cross-functional performance improvement: Collaborate with creative,
content, CRM, product, sales and analytics teams to improve campaign
effectiveness, lead quality and downstream funnel conversion.
● Report performance and drive accountability: Present performance insights,
forecasts, challenges and action plans to marketing leadership, with clear
ownership of channel outcomes.
What We're Looking For
● 3–5 years of hands-on performance marketing experience, with significant
ownership of Google Ads and Meta Ads.
● Prior experience in Ed-tech is mandatory.
● Experience managing substantial advertising budgets and delivering measurable
acquisition and business outcomes.
● Strong expertise in campaign architecture, audience targeting, bidding strategies,
optimisation, tracking, attribution and funnel analytics.
● Strong analytical and numerical skills, with experience optimising metrics such
as CPL, CAC, lead quality, conversion rates and ROAS/ROI.
● Experience with high-consideration lead-generation funnels where prospects
require nurturing before conversion, preferably in education.
● Ability to independently execute campaigns, troubleshoot performance issues
and take ownership of outcomes without relying on a team to execute.
● Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, particularly with creative, content,
CRM, sales and analytics teams.
● A bias for experimentation, speed, data-driven decision-making and continuous
optimisation.
What Success Looks Like
Success in this role means consistently delivering the required volume of high-quality
leads and downstream conversions within agreed CPL/CAC targets, while building a
scalable, data-driven performance marketing engine for uGSOT. You should be able to
independently analyse performance, identify opportunities or issues, take corrective
action and remain accountable for results.
