Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Rebar Detailer / Rebar Estimator role based in Chennai. The role involves preparing detailed rebar shop drawings from structural and architectural plans, ensuring compliance with codes and project specifications. The candidate will review and interpret construction drawings, calculate quantities, and prepare accurate rebar estimates and bar bending schedules. Daily responsibilities include coordinating with project engineers, fabricators, and contractors, resolving drawing discrepancies, and updating documents as designs change. The role also requires maintaining organized records, meeting deadlines, and supporting quality assurance throughout the detailing and estimating process.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong skills in Shop Drawings and Steel Detailing.
Candidates should possess solid expertise in Rebar and Steel Structures.
Candidates should possess the ability to read and interpret Architectural Drawings.
Proficiency with CAD or detailing software (e.g., AutoCAD, RebarCAD, or similar tools) is highly beneficial.
Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline is preferred.
Attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and strong problem-solving skills are required.
Ability to collaborate with cross-functional project teams and communicate clearly in written and spoken English.
Previous experience as a Rebar Detailer or Estimator in construction or infrastructure projects is an advantage.
