Business Analyst (Utilities Industry)

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with 8-10 years of experience and strong exposure to the Utilities Industry. The candidate will act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technology teams, gathering, analyzing, and documenting business requirements while driving digital transformation initiatives across utility operations.
Mandatory Skills
Strong experience as a Business Analyst in large-scale enterprise projects.
Proven experience in the Utilities domain is added advantage (Power, Gas, Water, Smart Metering, Energy Distribution, Customer Services, Asset Management, or Grid Operations).
Expertise in requirements elicitation, stakeholder management, and business process analysis.
Experience creating BRDs, FRS, User Stories, Process Maps, and Wireframes.
Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall methodologies.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.

SQL for data analysis and validation.

Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand and document business requirements, processes, and pain points.
Conduct workshops, requirement-gathering sessions, and stakeholder interviews.
Prepare Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Functional Requirement Specifications (FRS), User Stories, Use Cases, and Process Flows.
Analyze existing utility business processes and identify opportunities for improvement and automation.
Work closely with Product Owners, Architects, Developers, QA teams, and Project Managers throughout the project lifecycle.
Support Agile ceremonies such as Sprint Planning, Backlog Grooming, Reviews, and Retrospectives.
Perform gap analysis, impact analysis, and feasibility assessments for business initiatives.
Facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and ensure successful deployment of solutions.
Monitor project progress and ensure requirements are delivered as agreed.
Support change management, training, and adoption activities.
