JOB DESCRIPTION
Position Summary: Mule Opr - Storm Lake Pork Plant
This position is responsible for ensuring all materials are transported and/or unloaded in a timely manner while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Include, but are not limited to, the following:
Lift boxed product from conveyors and stack onto pallets, including consolidating partial pallets.
Operate equipment, including inverters, stretch wrappers, power industrial trucks, and forklifts.
Load trailers and perform trailer washout duties.
Follow all plant safety policies and procedures.
Scan and label boxes, maintain inventory accuracy, and complete required documentation.
Work in temperatures ranging from -30°F to 100°F.
Work outdoors in all weather conditions, including rain, sleet, snow, and extreme heat.
Perform duties that include walking, climbing ladders, standing, bending, pushing, pulling, reaching, and working on concrete surfaces throughout the shift.
Lift, carry, and stack boxes weighing 20 to 110 pounds.
Maintain productivity, quality, and safety standards in a fast-paced environment.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able and willing to frequently lift, carry, push, pull, and stack materials weighing 20 to 110 pounds.
Must be able and willing to stand and walk for extended periods, up to 8-10 hours per shift.
Must be able and willing to bend, stoop, squat, climb ladders, reach overhead, and perform repetitive motions throughout the shift.
Must be able and willing to work on concrete surfaces for prolonged periods.
Must be able and willing to work in temperatures ranging from -30°F to 100°F.
Must be able and willing to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including rain, sleet, snow, and extreme heat.
Must be able and willing to safely operate forklifts, power industrial trucks, and other assigned equipment.
Must be able and willing to wear required personal protective equipment and comply with all safety requirements.
