Our mobile solutions empower farmers and technicians worldwide. As a Senior Flutter Developer, you’ll help build intuitive, high-performance mobile apps that integrate with our on-farm management systems, supported by our cloud platform. You’ll be part of a professional, forward-thinking team in Belfast (Northern Ireland), contributing to sustainable farming through digital innovation.
Responsibilities / Tasks
Who we are:
We are part of GEA Digital, focused on developing digital solutions and services.
We build solutions for monitoring and managing systems for the dairy farming industry.
We are rebuilding our mobile experience with Flutter using an AI-first, highly automated engineering approach.
In the Mobile team, we treat architecture guidance, agent instructions, automated verification, and CI/CD as part of the product delivery system.
Our designated tech stack will also include Firebase, REST APIs, Azure, GitHub, and CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions.
Why we need you:
You design, build, and maintain production-grade Flutter applications.
You translate product intent into clear, executable specifications and acceptance criteria.
You codify architecture, development rules, and recurring engineering knowledge as instructions for AI coding agents.
You build agent skills and automation for implementation, testing, visual verification, and delivery.
You continuously improve an AI-first development pipeline to maximize throughput without compromising product quality.
Your Profile / Qualifications
How you can contribute:
You bring at least four years of hands-on Flutter development experience within the last five years.
You have delivered and maintained complex Flutter apps in production, including state management, platform integration, testing, and release processes.
You know how to create and maintain repository-level AI instructions, reusable agent skills, and deliberately scoped context.
You use AI coding agents as part of your normal engineering workflow and can verify their output efficiently.
You know how to design highly automated CI/CD pipelines covering builds, static analysis, tests, UI verification, and deployment.
You can turn recurring defects and review findings into automated checks, tests, or improved agent guidance.
You work effectively in a very small team, take end-to-end ownership, and make pragmatic architectural decisions.
You have excellent English language skills, with German considered a bonus.
You're based in or near Belfast and are open to occasional travel (under 10%).
As a hybrid role, you'll be expected to work from our Belfast office approximately one to two days per week.
