A mid-sized distributor of industrial supplies, serving customers across three states, hiring for its payables desk
Roughly four hundred vendor invoices land on this desk every month: bearings, fasteners, pumps and freight bills from about ninety regular suppliers, many of them small firms who still send paper invoices with the truck. Right now one person matches them against purchase orders and goods receipts by hand, and the month-end vendor reconciliation tends to slip into the second week. We want a second person who can own the cycle from invoice receipt to payment run, and help us tighten it.
Day to day you would check three-way matches in Tally, chase stores for missing GRNs, book TDS correctly on contractor and transport bills, reconcile vendor ledgers against their statements, and prepare the weekly payment list for the finance manager to approve. You would also handle the GST input credit side: matching purchase entries against GSTR-2B and following up with suppliers whose filings are missing. The company is privately held, has about 180 employees, and has partnered with Flexiple to hire for this seat.
What matters most to us:
2 to 5 years in accounts payable or purchase accounting, ideally at a trading or manufacturing business
Working knowledge of TDS sections and GST input credit reconciliation
Confident in Tally Prime and Excel (VLOOKUP and pivots at minimum)
B.Com or M.Com; CA Inter or CMA Inter is welcome but not required
Patience with suppliers on the phone, in Hindi or Marathi as well as English
The role is on-site at our Pune office, five days a week, with an occasional visit to the Chakan warehouse. The process is a short call with Flexiple, a practical Tally and Excel exercise, then a conversation with the finance manager.
