Project Execution Manager, EPC Management

The Project Execution Manager will join an experienced team within CIP Terra Europe responsible for delivering the construction of renewable energy projects across Europe. The role reports to the CIP Terra EPC Director, with reference points into CIP's Investment Team.
Role
The Project Execution Manager will play a key role in delivering CIP Terra's BESS projects in Germany, ensuring the successful execution of the company's construction strategy across the portfolio. The role will oversee all phases of project delivery, from pre-construction planning, secondary permits, through to commissioning and handover, with a particular focus on supporting the development and execution phase of utility-scale BESS assets.
The position is responsible for ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This includes overseeing day-to-day execution activities (e.g. Engineering and construction) from an Owner’s perspective, coordinating key stakeholders) such as permit authority and TSO, and supervising EPC contractors, main Equipment Suppliers and external Owners' Engineers as required. The Project Execution Manager will act as a key representative of CIP Terra throughout the construction lifecycle, ensuring compliance with contractual, technical, regulatory, and HSE requirements while protecting project value and performance.
The preferred location for the role is Eastern Germany; however, we are open to considering candidates based in other locations.
Responsibilities will consist of but are not limited to:
Provide owner-side oversight of the cross-disciplinary planning, execution and delivery of renewable energy construction projects, covering high-voltage, civil, instrumentation and control works.
Oversee site activities, subcontractors, and construction teams to ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards (supported by an external Owner’s Engineer)
Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and permitting teams to align construction schedules and deliverables
Contract management of the agreements in place during the execution phase, mainly BESS and BoP EPC-contracts as well as contracts with service providers
Monitor project progress, budgets, and timelines using project management tools and reporting systems
On a regular basis, participate in regular site inspections and progress meetings with stakeholders
Ensure compliance with local regulations, grid connection requirements, and environmental obligations
You
The ideal candidate holds a bachelor's or master's degree in economics, science, engineering or a similar field, with proven experience in post-NTP project management of complex energy or infrastructure projects, e.g renewable or conventional generation assets.
Moreover, you are action oriented and willing to overcome complex problems to deliver results, with strong personal and professional judgment and the interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with contractors, team members, and stakeholders.
