YOUR ROLE
We are looking for a Senior Quality Engineer to join our teams in Lisbon and contribute to the delivery of high-quality solutions within the Banking and Financial Services sector.
Own and execute end-to-end testing activities across complex backend systems and applications.
Design, develop, and execute test scenarios and test cases for APIs, databases, batch processing, and business-critical workflows.
Perform backend validation, including database testing, data reconciliation, and batch processing verification.
Develop and maintain automated test suites using Karate Framework.
Validate functional and non-functional requirements, including boundary and performance testing.
Manage defects throughout the testing lifecycle and collaborate with development and business teams to ensure timely resolution.
Contribute to CI/CD testing activities and quality gates within Azure DevOps pipelines.
Work closely with business analysts, developers, and stakeholders to ensure high-quality deliverables aligned with business requirements.
YOUR PROFILE
5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance and Software Testing.
Strong experience in Backend Testing, including API Testing, Database Validation, and Batch Processing Validation.
Hands-on experience with test automation using Karate Framework.
Solid Functional and Manual Testing expertise, including test design techniques, boundary testing, test execution, and defect management.
Strong SQL knowledge with practical experience in joins, aggregations, subqueries, and data validation.
Experience working with Azure DevOps, including test management and CI/CD pipelines.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and take ownership of testing activities.
Previous experience in Banking or Financial Services environments.
Knowledge of domains such as UTP, Credit Scoring, Loans, Risk Management, and Loan Restructuring is highly valued.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
