Job Brief: JSW Steel Limited is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to oversee the continuous and safe operation of the Oxygen Plant within our manufacturing facility. The role demands a proactive individual capable of managing plant operations during assigned shifts, ensuring optimal performance, adherence to safety protocols, and compliance with environmental standards. The candidate will play a critical role in maintaining production efficiency, troubleshooting technical issues, and coordinating with cross-functional teams to support the overall manufacturing process. This position requires a strong technical background, leadership capabilities, and a commitment to operational excellence in a fast-paced industrial environment.
Responsibilities
Manage and supervise the daily operations of the Oxygen Plant during assigned shifts to ensure uninterrupted production and adherence to quality standards.
Monitor plant equipment performance, conduct regular inspections, and implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly to maintain operational efficiency and safety.
Ensure strict compliance with all safety, health, and environmental regulations and company policies within the plant.
Coordinate with maintenance, quality control, and production teams to optimize plant processes and improve overall productivity.
Maintain accurate operational records, prepare shift reports, and communicate critical information to senior management and relevant departments.
Lead and mentor shift personnel, providing training and guidance to enhance team performance and safety awareness.
Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance plant reliability, reduce costs, and increase energy efficiency.
Participate in emergency response planning and execution to handle any plant incidents effectively.
Support audits and inspections by internal and external agencies, ensuring readiness and compliance.

Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical discipline from a recognized institution.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in plant operations within the steel manufacturing or heavy industrial sector, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or shift lead role.
