Project Manager — Agricultural Construction
Help build the systems that keep agriculture moving.
Location: EBM Construction Office, Lincoln, Nebraska
Schedule: Full-time, exempt; minimum 45 hours per week
Training and travel: Stay in Norfolk, Nebraska, for up to two months during training; once fully trained, travel up to 50%.
The Opportunity
EBM Construction is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented, and relationship-driven Project Manager to lead agricultural construction, renovation, maintenance, and material-handling projects across the Midwest. In this role, you will manage customers, crews, subcontractors, equipment, schedules, and budgets while helping projects move safely and efficiently from planning through completion and start-up. The ideal candidate is a practical problem-solver who communicates clearly, builds trust, and performs well in a fast-moving field environment.
What You’ll Do
Lead agricultural construction projects from planning through completion and start-up.
Coordinate crews, subcontractors, materials, equipment, schedules, and job-site activities.
Partner with customers, foremen, vendors, and design professionals to clarify scope, quality expectations, and work procedures.
Manage estimates, budgets, cost tracking, progress reporting, billing documentation, change orders, and project closeout.
Monitor job-site progress, adjust schedules and resources, and resolve field or customer issues.
Promote safe work practices while maintaining quality, schedule, and profitability.
What You Bring
Five or more years managing large construction projects.
Working knowledge of construction methods, materials, scheduling, budgeting, and resource coordination.
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications and supervise project teams and subcontractors.
Strong leadership, communication, customer-service, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency with iPad/iOS, Outlook, Excel, and Microsoft Project.
Valid driver’s license; experience with agricultural process systems, CAD skills, and a Nebraska Class A CDL are preferred.
Work Requirements
This role combines office-based project management with active job-site leadership and may include overnight stays near project locations. Candidates should be comfortable working around construction activity, loud environments, varying heights, tight spaces, and changing field conditions. The position requires use of protective equipment, the ability to frequently lift up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift up to 90 pounds, and successful completion of applicable pre-employment screening requirements.
Apply today and bring your construction expertise and customer-first mindset to EBM Construction.
