As our Facility Maintenance Technician, you'll be the behind-the-scenes hero who keeps the building event-ready. Your work will directly affect the comfort, safety, and enjoyment of our guests, artists, and staff. Whether it's fixing a lighting fixture before doors or getting a backstage restroom back in working order, you'll be the go-to problem solver and the "eyes of the venue." This role reports to the Operations Manager and General Manager.
WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO
Inspect, repair, and replace venue seating, from tightening bolts to replacing upholstery or damaged components.
Maintain and repair restroom fixtures, including toilets, urinals, sinks, faucets, and flush mechanisms.
Perform facility repairs including carpentry, painting, and drywall patching and finishing.
Handle basic electrical repairs, such as replacing light fixtures, switches, and outlets, and troubleshooting minor wiring issues.
Perform preventive maintenance to reduce breakdowns during events.
Respond quickly to urgent or unscheduled repairs to minimize downtime, including supporting event-day repairs as needed.
Maintain cleanliness and safety in backstage, public, and staff areas, including storage rooms.
Maintain an organized inventory of repair parts, tools, and supplies, tracking usage and reordering before stock runs low.
Keep accurate records of repairs, recurring issues, and needed upgrades.
Coordinate with external contractors for repair appointments.
Perform all other duties as assigned or needed.
SCHEDULE
Part-time, approximately 10-20 hours per week. Preferred schedule will be weekdays during the day and some evenings, if needed.
Pay rate: $25-50/hr
WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING
2+ years of experience in facility, building, or venue maintenance (or equivalent hands-on skills).
Working knowledge of basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and mechanical systems.
Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems quickly under pressure.
Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with venue staff and outside vendors.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and to work on ladders or in tight spaces when needed.
Dependable, highly motivated, and able to work independently.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
