Role Description This full-time, on-site GCP Data Engineer role is based at Pune Office. The GCP Data Engineer will design, build, and maintain data pipelines and data platforms on Google Cloud Platform, supporting advanced analytics and reporting needs.
Responsibilities include implementing ETL processes, modeling data for data warehouses and data lakes, optimizing performance, and ensuring data quality and reliability. The role involves collaborating with architects, data analysts, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions and providing ongoing support and enhancements for data workflows. The engineer will also participate in code reviews, documentation, and adherence to security and compliance standards.
Qualifications
Strong Data Engineering skills, including building and maintaining scalable data pipelines on GCP (e.g., BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage).
Proficiency in Data Modeling and Data Warehousing, with experience designing schemas and structures for analytics and reporting.
Hands-on experience with Extract Transform Load (ETL) processes and tools, including performance optimization and data quality checks.
Ability to perform Data Analytics using SQL and relevant GCP services to support reporting, dashboards, and business insights.
Solid programming skills in Python or Java/Scala for data processing and automation.
Understanding of cloud architecture, security, and best practices in GCP environments.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
5+ years Experience working in consulting or client-facing environments is beneficial, along with strong communication and collaboration skills.
