Performance Test Engineer with strong JMeter expertise to design, execute, and analyze load tests while identifying performance bottlenecks using APM tools.
Required Skills
Key Responsibilities
• Design and develop performance test scripts using Apache JMeter with custom scripting (Groovy/BeanShell)
• Create realistic load patterns and test scenarios based on production traffic analysis
• Execute performance, load, stress, and endurance tests across various environments
• Analyze test results and identify performance bottlenecks using AppDynamics and Datadog
• Correlate JMeter metrics with APM data to pinpoint root causes of performance issues
• Generate detailed performance test reports with actionable recommendations
• Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to resolve performance defects
• Maintain and optimize existing test scripts and frameworks
JMeter Expertise (3-4 years)
• Advanced scripting using JSR223 samplers
• Custom functions, variables, and properties management
• Protocol expertise: HTTP/HTTPS, REST APIs, SOAP, WebSocket
• Parameterization, correlation, and data-driven testing
• Distributed testing setup and execution
• Performance test framework design
Technical Requirements
• 3-4 years of performance testing experience
• Strong scripting skills (Groovy/Java/Python)
• Understanding of HTTP protocol, REST APIs, and JSON/XML
• Experience with AppDynamics and Datadog (1-2 years minimum)
• Basic understanding of application architecture (web servers, databases, caching)
• Should have experiences in monitoring SQL and Snowflake databases
