What you'll be doing
Leading product engineering
Keeping a fast-moving product on track, turning the roadmap into reliable delivery across Buyer Channels, Seller Studio and Platform.
Shaping small, autonomous teams with clear ownership and ways of working that suit a distributed organization. • Helping teams get real value from AI coding agents, with clear quality standards and metrics that show measurable impact.
Building in reliability with the Platform team: observability, SLOs and incident management.
Coaching team leads and senior engineers, and hiring and developing engineers across all locations.
Leading our Egypt engineering community
Being the local face of Sana and first point of contact for every engineer in Egypt, whatever their team.
Holding regular 1:1s to support engineers’ growth and careers.
Building a connected Sana community in Egypt and growing the team.
What you'll bring
Must-haves
5+ years in engineering management, including 2+ years leading multiple teams or team leads.
A background as a senior engineer or tech lead, with a strong understanding of cloud-native, API-first systems (Azure is a plus).
A track record of delivering a new product to production and running it, with measurable outcomes.
Hands-on experience with AI coding tools, yourself or through teams you've led, and a clear view of where they help and where they fail.
Track record of developing engineers, and excellent written and spoken English.
Nice-to-haves
Experience setting up or leading an engineering site.
Experience with LLM or agent-based products, or with B2B commerce.
Experience leading distributed teams across cultures, including through influence.
Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud platform.
