About the role

Description supplied by the original job listing.

About the Role
At ARX Robotics, reliable and well-managed sites are essential to developing and delivering unmanned systems for demanding environments. As Facility Manager, you will take ownership of facility operations and site infrastructure work streams across our locations, helping ensure that our employees have safe, functional and well-organised workplaces as ARX continues to grow.
You will combine hands-on operational responsibility with end to end delivery of improvement and expansion initiatives. You work independently, coordinate internal stakeholders and external service providers, and make wellfounded decisions while adhering to agreed budgets, safety guidelines, and decision making authorities.
What You'll Build
Manage external service providers, set clear expectations, monitor quality and delivery, address performance issues, and oversee day-to-day contracted services such as cleaning, waste and building services.
Plan and coordinate maintenance requests, repairs, preventive maintenance and statutory inspections, following actions through to completion.
Identify and resolve operational problems independently; make timely, balanced decisions within your authority, considering quality, speed, cost, safety and business priorities, and escalate where approval is needed.
Track facility budgets and costs, explain variances and coordinate accurate, timely invoice processing with relevant internal stakeholders.
Improve recurring processes, procedures and service standards; agree appropriate measures, track outcomes, maintain clear facility documentation and share effective practices across sites.
Support operational health and safety, sustainability monitoring and access related facility arrangements in coordination with the responsible internal and external specialists.
Drive facility contributions to site set-up, fit-out, office moves, space planning and expansion initiatives in close coordination with the Head of Infrastructure and Expansion and relevant project teams.
What You Bring
5+ years of experience in facility management, site operations, project coordination or a comparable operational role.
Demonstrated ability to own cross-functional workstreams end to end, from an unclear operational need to coordinated delivery and measurable results, with minimal day-to-day guidance.
Sound judgement and the ability to prioritise competing needs and balance quality, speed, cost and business impact within defined decision-making boundaries.
A proactive approach to troubleshooting and improving processes, with strong follow-through and a focus on measurable outcomes.
Experience managing external service providers and building trusted relationships with stakeholders across functions.
A sound understanding of maintenance, inspections, building services and operational health and safety topics.
Clear communication skills, including the ability to navigate complex discussions and resolve disagreements constructively.
A calm, accountable and solution-oriented approach when priorities change or unexpected challenges arise.
Confidence using common digital workplace tools and maintaining clear, accurate records.
Willingness to work across multiple sites and travel to relevant locations as required.
Fluent written and spoken German, and the ability to communicate confidently in English with colleagues.
Please note: You do not need to meet every single requirement to apply. We welcome motivated candidates who are eager to grow into the role and develop their expertise further.
