Application Engineer (Wiring Harness & Electrical Distribution Systems) (m/f/d)
at one of our locations in EMEA region - in Germany, Reutlingen
Your tasks:
As an Application Engineer, you will serve as the technical interface between Mercedes-Benz, internal engineering teams, and manufacturing partners. You will be responsible for analyzing customer requirements, developing technical solutions for wiring harness systems, coordinating engineering activities, and ensuring successful implementation throughout the entire product development lifecycle.
Analyze customer requirements, specifications, and technical standards provided by Mercedes-Benz
Develop and coordinate technical solutions for wiring harnesses and electrical distribution systems
Act as the primary engineering contact for customer-related technical topics
Coordinate design activities with 2D/3D design engineers, component engineers, manufacturing, and suppliers
Review and manage engineering changes throughout the project lifecycle
Ensure compliance with customer requirements, quality standards, and project milestones
Support prototype builds, vehicle integration, and validation activities
Participate in design reviews, package investigations, and technical discussions with the customer
Create, review, and maintain engineering documentation and technical reports
Support issue resolution, root cause analysis, and corrective actions
Monitor project deliverables regarding quality, cost, function, and timing
Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout development and industrialization phases
