About the role

Description supplied by the original job listing.

Swish is building the next generation of food delivery by owning the entire value chain, from menu design and pricing to kitchen operations and customer experience. Backed by leading investors, we're building the future of food delivery by continuously launching new products, expanding into new markets, and creating innovative operating models.
We are looking for an execution-focused Operations Excellence Intern to improve Swish’s kitchen operations by identifying inefficiencies and implementing practical improvements across workflows, manpower utilization, and material movement through on-ground execution and data analysis.
What You’ll Own
Map end-to-end kitchen workflows across material movement, preparation, cooking, packing, and dispatch.
Identify bottlenecks, delays, unnecessary movement, and other non-value-added activities across daily operations.
Conduct time-and-motion studies to understand process time, task allocation, and manpower utilization.
Develop and implement solutions to improve workflows, reduce process inefficiencies, and increase productivity.
Optimize the placement and movement of ingredients, equipment, tools, and workstations to improve material flow.
Analyze manpower deployment across different activities and identify opportunities for better workforce utilization.
Track the impact of process improvements through metrics such as turnaround time, productivity, movement, and manpower efficiency.
Document improved workflows and help standardize best practices across kitchen operations.
Work closely with frontline and Operations teams to ensure improvements are practical, adopted, and sustained.
What We’re Looking For
Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, or a related field.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify operational gaps and root causes.
Comfortable working on the ground in a fast-paced, execution-heavy environment.
Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets for data analysis, tracking, and reporting.
Ability to break down complex processes and turn observations into actionable solutions.
Strong ownership mindset with a willingness to implement changes, not just recommend them.
Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
If you enjoy being on the ground, working with data, and finding smarter ways to make operations faster and more efficient, we’d love to hear from you.
