Role Description
This full-time remote role is for a Spanish Medical Interpreter providing Over-the-Phone Interpretation (OPI) and Video Remote Interpretation (VRI). Day-to-day responsibilities include accurately interpreting medical information between Spanish and English-speaking patients and healthcare professionals, ensuring clear, confidential, and culturally sensitive communication. The interpreter will follow established medical protocols, adhere to industry and company standards, and use company-provided platforms and tools to connect with clients. The role also includes ongoing participation in free company training, staying current with medical terminology, and following all privacy and data protection guidelines. Interpreters are expected to maintain professional conduct, meet scheduling commitments, and deliver consistent, high-quality service.
Qualifications
Strong ability in Medical Interpretation and Medical Terminology for Spanish and English communications.
Proficiency in Interpreting and Simultaneous Interpretation in clinical and healthcare settings.
Experience or familiarity with Translation of basic medical documents and patient information.
Fluent or native-level Spanish and advanced English language skills, with clear and professional communication.
Access to a reliable internet connection, appropriate headset, and a quiet remote work environment.
Demonstrated cultural sensitivity, confidentiality, and adherence to professional ethics in medical encounters.
Prior experience in medical interpreting or healthcare settings is preferred; interpreter certification is a plus.
Ability to complete company-provided training, follow procedures, and work flexible or rotating schedules as needed.
