Client Location: US
Working Hours: M-F, 8 AM - 5 PM MST (Arizona)
Client Industry: Property Restoration & Construction
Role Type: Full-time, Contract
Contract Duration: 1 year, renewable
Monthly Salary: USD 1200
Role Overview
One of our clients is seeking an experienced, full-time Virtual Restoration & Construction Estimator to join their growing team. They are a family-owned, fast-paced U.S. property restoration company doing $12M+ in annual sales and expanding toward $16M+.
Our client is not looking for a simple line-item data entry clerk. They need a seasoned restoration estimator who deeply understands the full cycle of property damage losses (water, fire, mold) across both mitigation and reconstruction. You must understand how insurance carrier claims move through Third-Party Administrator (TPA) programs, how to interpret project documentation, and how to write accurate, defensible estimates from scratch.
You will work directly with their U.S.-based project managers, coordinators, and estimators to keep projects moving seamlessly.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare detailed estimates using Xactimate
Write estimates for both mitigation and reconstruction
Estimate water, fire, mold, and other property damage losses
Review photos, measurements, scopes, Matterport documentation, MICA documentation, notes, and other project information
Understand the relationship between mitigation and reconstruction scopes
Prepare accurate estimates based on the documented scope of work
Apply appropriate Xactimate line items for labor, materials, equipment, demolition, mitigation, and reconstruction
Work within TPA program requirements and guidelines
Review carrier and TPA estimate requirements and make necessary revisions
Prepare estimate revisions and supplements when additional work or documentation is identified
Assist with responding to carrier or TPA estimate revisions and questions
Review estimates for accuracy, completeness, and proper documentation before submission
Communicate with Project Managers, Coordinators, Estimators, and other members of our U.S.-based team
Maintain organized project files and documentation
Meet estimating deadlines and communicate proactively when information is missing
Must-Haves
Minimum 3+ years of restoration estimating experience
Deep hands-on experience writing estimates in Xactimate (not just reviewing/reading line items)
Experience estimating both Mitigation AND Reconstruction
Solid working knowledge of TPA programs and insurance claim guidelines
