Role Description This full-time Electrical Testing and Commissioning role is an on-site position based in India. The role involves conducting testing, inspection, and commissioning of electrical equipment and systems, ensuring compliance with technical specifications, safety regulations, and industry standards. Responsibilities include reviewing electrical designs and drawings, assisting in installation checks, performing functional and performance tests, documenting test results, and preparing commissioning reports. The role also includes troubleshooting issues during start-up, coordinating with project engineers, contractors, and clients, and supporting handover of systems to operations teams. The individual is expected to follow established procedures, maintain accurate records, and contribute to continuous improvement of testing and commissioning practices.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Electricity and Electrical Engineering, with the ability to apply core electrical principles in practical field conditions.
Experience or educational background in Electrical Design, including understanding of schematics, single-line diagrams, and protection and control layouts.
Knowledge of Power Generation and distribution systems, including transformers, switchgear, and protection systems.
Hands-on familiarity with Electrical Equipment such as circuit breakers, panels, relays, cables, motors, and associated testing instruments.
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
Ability to interpret technical documents, standards, and manufacturer manuals, and prepare clear test and commissioning reports.
Understanding of safety practices, permits-to-work, and relevant electrical codes and regulations.
Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the capacity to coordinate with site staff, contractors, and clients.
Willingness to work on-site, travel to project locations within Tamil Nadu, and adapt to field schedules.
