PLC Programmer

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site PLC Programmer role based in Ahmedabad. The PLC Programmer will design, develop, and modify PLC programs for refrigeration systems such as chillers, panel ACs, and RO water plants. Responsibilities include configuring and testing control panels, integrating sensors and instrumentation, troubleshooting automation issues, and ensuring proper operation of equipment on the production floor and at client sites. The role involves collaborating with design, electrical, and service teams to implement control logic, prepare documentation, and support commissioning and maintenance activities. The PLC Programmer will also help optimize existing programs for improved energy efficiency, reliability, and safety.
Qualifications
Solid knowledge of PLC programming and industrial automation, including experience with common PLC platforms (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley, or similar).
Understanding of electrical control systems, wiring diagrams, and instrumentation used in refrigeration or process equipment.
Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, technical drawings, and equipment manuals, and translate requirements into control logic.
Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills for control systems, sensors, actuators, and field devices.
Familiarity with HMI/SCADA configuration, basic networking concepts, and integration between PLCs and monitoring systems.
Relevant technical education such as a diploma or degree in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or related engineering field.
Comfort working on-site in a manufacturing environment, including occasional visits to customer locations for commissioning and support.
Effective communication skills, ability to work in cross-functional teams, and commitment to safety and quality standards.
Prior experience in refrigeration, HVAC, or process control industries is an advantage.
