Advocate

Role Description This is a part-time Advocate role in a hybrid work arrangement, based in New Delhi with some work-from-home flexibility. The Advocate will assist in drafting petitions, applications, and legal notices, and support court appearances as required. Daily responsibilities include conducting legal research, reviewing case files, preparing briefs, and coordinating with clients for case updates and documentation. The role also involves maintaining organized records, monitoring case progress, and collaborating with the chamber on strategy and compliance with court procedures. The Advocate is expected to uphold professional ethics and contribute to a respectful, client-focused work environment.
Qualifications
Strong legal research and analytical abilities, with capacity to interpret statutes, case law, and legal precedents.
Proficiency in drafting legal documents, including petitions, written statements, notices, and opinions.
Experience or readiness to appear in courts and tribunals, with familiarity with court procedures and filing processes.
Effective client communication skills, including ability to explain legal issues clearly and manage expectations.
Excellent time management and organizational skills to handle multiple matters and deadlines in a part-time, hybrid setup.
LL.B. or equivalent law degree from a recognized institution and enrollment with the Bar Council (or eligibility to enroll).
High standards of professional ethics, confidentiality, and integrity in handling sensitive client information.
Comfort with basic digital tools for document management, remote collaboration, and legal research databases.
