Role Description The IT Support Specialist role is a part-time, remote position responsible for providing technical assistance to staff participating in Lead with CPS programs and using CPS systems. Day-to-day tasks include responding to help desk tickets, troubleshooting hardware and software issues on desktop computers, and guiding users through common IT problems. The specialist will assist with account access, system configurations, and connectivity issues, while documenting solutions and maintaining clear records of support requests. This role collaborates with other technology and program teams to ensure reliable, user-friendly access to digital platforms that support professional and leadership development.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess skills in Technical Support and Help Desk Support, including responding to user inquiries and resolving common IT issues.
Candidates should possess skills in Troubleshooting and Information Technology, with the ability to diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network problems.
Candidates should possess skills related to Desktop Computers, such as configuring systems, installing updates, and assisting users with day-to-day desktop usage.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts in clear, accessible language.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage multiple requests, and prioritize tasks effectively.
Experience using ticketing systems or help desk platforms, and familiarity with common operating systems and productivity tools.
Previous experience supporting educational or public sector environments is beneficial.
Relevant coursework, certification, or training in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
