About the Role
EnBW Cyber Security is seeking an OT Cyber Security Specialist to support customers with industrial cybersecurity solutions. In this role, you will work across sales engineering, security architecture, and managed security services, helping customers protect their IT and OT environments. You will also contribute to the development of security services, detection use cases, and processes while working closely with internal teams, technology providers, and industry partners.
The position offers the flexibility to work remotely from anywhere in Germany, with an expected in-person team meeting at the office approximately once a month.
Key Responsibilities
Support the sales team as a technical point of contact for complex customer requirements and develop tailored OT security solutions.
Design and implement security architectures for customers’ IT and OT environments and support their technical implementation.
Monitor OT environments, analyze security events, assess risks, and help customers implement appropriate countermeasures as part of managed security services.
Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation to support security operations and customer needs.
Continuously improve OT cybersecurity services, develop detection use cases, and optimize methods and processes.
Collaborate with colleagues, vendors, partners, and industry groups to exchange technical knowledge and stay informed about developments in OT security.
Plan and deliver product demonstrations, technical workshops, and customer training sessions.
Required Qualifications
A completed degree in computer science or a comparable qualification supported by relevant professional experience.
Experience with industrial control networks and remote control technology, along with an interest in automation and OT networking.
Strong knowledge of IT and network security, including areas such as network security, intrusion detection, firewalls, network segmentation, or SIEM.
Knowledge of industrial networks and OT communication protocols, including IEC 60870, Modbus, or OPC UA.
Strong analytical and conceptual skills, along with teamwork, initiative, commitment, and the ability to work under pressure.
Fluent German and English skills, both written and spoken.
Preferred Qualifications
Industry-recognized, vendor-independent cybersecurity certifications such as CISSP or GICSP.
Knowledge of the IEC 62443 standard.
Experience with SIEM platforms and tools.
Familiarity with industrial technologies such as SCADA and PLC/HMI systems.

Security Screening Requirements
This position involves security-sensitive work related to critical infrastructure. During an in-person interview, candidates must present an identity document and the original certificate of their highest educational qualification. If hired, candidates must also provide a security declaration under the German Security Screening Act and a police certificate of conduct for private purposes.
