Vehicle Sound Designer / Technical Sound Designer (FMOD) — Realistic Racing Game
We are developing DSCOFF, a realistic mobile racing game for iOS and Android, and we’re looking for an experienced Vehicle Sound Designer to create high-quality, authentic vehicle sounds.
Our goal is to achieve realistic and immersive automotive audio comparable to Assetto Corsa and other leading racing simulators.
Responsibilities:
• Design and implement realistic engine and exhaust sounds for various vehicles.
• Create dynamic engine audio systems based on RPM, throttle, engine load, and gear changes.
• Develop realistic pops & bangs, turbo, supercharger, intake, and transmission sounds.
• Work with FMOD Studio and integrate vehicle audio into Unity.
• Optimize audio performance for iOS and Android.
• Source, edit, and process high-quality vehicle recordings.
Requirements:
• Proven experience in vehicle sound design for racing games or simulators.
• Strong knowledge of FMOD Studio and interactive audio systems.
• Understanding of engine acoustics and automotive sound behavior.
• Experience integrating audio systems with Unity.
• Ability to create realistic, seamless engine sounds across different RPM ranges.
Nice to Have:
• Experience creating sound mods for Assetto Corsa.
• Knowledge of granular synthesis and advanced engine audio techniques.
• Experience with Audiokinetic Wwise or REV.
• Portfolio demonstrating realistic vehicle audio.
