Software Engineer (GitHub Contributor) - M1

We are looking for Software Engineers with open-source development experience to contribute to a project focused on software engineering and AI evaluation.
The role involves working with real-world codebases to create challenging tasks around bug fixing, feature development, code refactoring, and performance optimization.
What You'll Do
Create realistic software engineering tasks involving debugging, feature implementation, refactoring, and optimization.
Work with diverse and unfamiliar codebases.
Develop reproducible environments and reference solutions for assigned tasks.
Analyze and resolve software defects and performance bottlenecks.
Implement robust and maintainable features.
Review and validate code submissions for technical accuracy.
Document technical reasoning and solution approaches.
What We're Looking For
Strong hands-on experience with one or more of Python, Java, Rust, Go, C++, or TypeScript.
Strong understanding of algorithms, data structures, and software engineering principles.
Experience with debugging, code review, feature implementation, and performance optimization.
Ability to work with large or unfamiliar codebases.
Strong analytical and logical-thinking skills.
Clear technical communication and documentation skills.
Open-source contributions and a verifiable GitHub profile are preferred.
Candidates without sufficient GitHub evidence may be asked to complete a technical assessment.
