Position Overview:
As a Data Scientist at GeoIQ, you will spearhead our data science initiatives, leveraging your expertise to mentor and guide a dynamic team of professionals. The role involves not only developing advanced predictive models and analyses but also providing strategic direction to the team. Key Responsibilities:
As the Lead Data Scientist, you will build upon your foundational data science skills to guide the team in creating and implementing cutting-edge solutions. Your responsibilities include:
Mentor a team of data scientists, providing guidance and support in solving complex business problems through data-driven insights.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project objectives and align data science initiatives with business requirements.
Oversee the collection, cleaning, and preprocessing of large-scale datasets, ensuring data quality and suitability for analysis.
Drive the development and implementation of machine learning algorithms and predictive models to optimize decision-making processes.
Conduct in-depth data analysis, exploratory data analysis, and statistical hypothesis testing to uncover patterns, trends, and actionable insights.
Utilize advanced statistical techniques and mathematical modeling to predict outcomes and identify relationships between variables.
Lead the creation and maintenance of data pipelines and automation processes for efficient data ingestion, transformation, and storage.
Oversee the building and deployment of data-driven dashboards, visualizations, and interactive reports to effectively communicate findings to stakeholders.
Continuously monitor model performance, conduct A/B testing, and fine-tune models to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
Collaborate with software engineers to integrate machine learning models seamlessly into production systems.
Qualifications:
Proficiency in Python.
Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience as a Data Scientist, with a minimum.
Proven experience in building machine learning models.
Proficiency in SQL.
Knowledge of statistical techniques.
Experience working with Spatial Data is an added advantage.
