About the role:
We are looking for a Staff Sales Operations Analyst to join our Sales Operations team in Bangalore, India, reporting to the Senior Manager, Sales Operations. You will lead demand planning and the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process for the US solar business, partnering across Sales, Finance, Operations, and Business Units to align executive priorities, market trends, customer demand, and supply plans.
The ideal candidate is highly analytical, understands sales processes and supply chain planning, and can translate complex data into clear business recommendations. Hands-on experience using AI-assisted development and automation tools, such as Claude Cowork, Devin, and Copilot, to build practical internal tools and web applications is important for success in this role.
What you will be doing:
Lead the end-to-end S&OP process for the Americas region, including the monthly and quarterly cadence, agenda, and executive-level reviews.
Translate market trends, customer demand signals, and executive direction into actionable SKU-level demand forecasts.
Build, maintain, and continuously improve statistical and analytical forecasting models to increase forecast accuracy across product lines and regions.
Partner with Sales, Finance, Operations, and Business Unit leaders to reconcile demand signals, supply constraints, and strategic priorities into one operating plan.
Analyze large and complex datasets to identify demand and supply gaps, risks, and opportunities, and present clear recommendations and executive summaries to senior stakeholders.
Track key S&OP metrics, including forecast accuracy, inventory health, and service levels, and drive continuous improvement across the planning cycle.
Design and build internal tools, dashboards, and web applications using AI-assisted development platforms such as Claude Cowork, Devin, and Copilot to automate demand-planning workflows.
Identify manual, repetitive, or error-prone Sales Operations processes and develop AI-assisted or automated solutions from problem definition through working prototype.
Use AI-assisted workflows to accelerate data analysis, scenario modeling, forecast generation, and reporting.
Stay current on emerging AI tools relevant to Sales Operations and analytics, and recommend solutions that deliver measurable efficiency or accuracy gains.
What you bring:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (B.Tech) or a Master's degree from a Tier-1 institution, with a CGPA of 7.0 or above or equivalent academic performance.
Approximately 4+ years of experience in sales operations, demand planning, supply chain, analytics, or a related function.
Strong knowledge of supply chain planning and analytics, preferably within the solar or high-tech industry and a multi-tier channel environment.
Demonstrated experience leading S&OP or demand-planning processes and building SKU-level forecasts.
Advanced Microsoft Excel and data-manipulation skills; experience with AI tools, Incorta, SQL, and Salesforce (SFDC) is preferred.
Ability to work confidently with large datasets, maintain high accuracy, and turn analysis into practical business insights.
Strong critical-thinking, problem-solving, process-design, and business-judgment skills.
A structured, detail-oriented, metrics-driven approach with a strong work ethic and bias toward accuracy.
Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present recommendations to senior stakeholders.
