Greater West Salvos St Marys is seeking passionate, reliable and community-minded volunteers to join our friendly and supportive team.
Available Roles
Life Essentials Store Volunteers
Help provide affordable groceries and essential items to the local community. Duties may include:
· Welcoming and assisting customers
· Restocking products
· Sorting donated goods
· Keeping the store clean and organised
· Supporting general store and fundraising activities
Warehouse Drivers and Driver Assistants
Help collect and distribute donated goods throughout the community. Duties may include:
· Collecting and transporting donations
· Loading and unloading vehicles
· Sorting and organising goods
· Assisting during collection and delivery runs
Volunteer Hours
· Monday to Friday: 9:30 am to 3:30 pm
· Saturday: 5:30 pm to 10:30 pm
Flexible shifts are available. No previous experience is required, and full training and ongoing support will be provided.
We welcome volunteers from all backgrounds, including retirees, job seekers and community members who are dependable, willing to learn and passionate about helping others.

Development opportunities with this role:
This role will give volunteers an opportunity to develop skills and build experience in retail practices, sorting and stocking of shelves, as well as experience in working as a part of a team. Volunteers will receive on the job training and support, working alongside experience retail professionals in a caring and supportive environment.
