Social Media Manager

About the role
We’re looking for a Social Media Manager who understands social media beyond just posting content.
You’ll be working with us on social media accounts across different niches and platforms, helping plan content, come up with ideas, understand performance and figure out what actually helps a brand grow.
What you’ll be doing:
• Plan monthly content calendars across major social media platforms
• Come up with content ideas, hooks and formats suited to each platform
• Research trends, competitors and what’s working within different niches
• Manage and publish content across platforms
• Track reach, views, engagement, follower growth and other relevant metrics
• Analyse what’s working and what isn’t
• Test new content ideas and strategies
• Adapt content for different platforms rather than simply reposting the same thing everywhere
• Work closely with our video editing and creative team to turn ideas into content
What we’re looking for:
• Around 1 year of experience in social media management
• Good understanding of major social media platforms and how their algorithms/content formats differ
• Strong understanding of content strategy
• Comfortable working with analytics and making decisions based on performance
• Someone who can think about why content works, not just post it
• Good communication and organisational skills
• Previous experience managing multiple accounts is a plus
Portfolio / previous work is important.
