What you will do:
Be a trusted member of the engagement team providing various federal tax compliance and consulting services to industry specific clients:
Be a valued tax business advisor, lead client relationships on day to day tax matters with various clients ranging from middle market to multinational
Consult on technical matters and special projects in various areas of corporate and flow through taxation, accounting methods, and ASC740
Research various tax matters, responding to IRS and other tax authority inquiries, and make recommendations to the client for consideration
Coordinate with specialty tax practices on complicated tax matters in the state and local, high net worth, international, research and development along with credits and incentives areas
Manage client engagement staffing, billings/collections, and ensure client profitability targets are met
Utilize your entrepreneurial skills to network and build strong relationships internally and externally with the goal of acquiring new clients, projects, and revenue
Invest in your professional development individually and through participation in firm wide learning and development programs
Support the growth and development of team members through the Baker Tilly Care and Teach philosophy, helping associates meet their professional goals

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
4-year degree
CPA, Law License, or EA
Twelve (12) years of experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s, master’s, or advanced degree in accounting
Twelve (12)+ years of experience providing tax compliance and consulting services in a public accounting firm
PE industry experienced preferred, particularly with portfolio companies
Five (5)+ years of supervisory experience, mentoring and counseling associates
Demonstrated management, analytical, organization, interpersonal, project management, communication skills
Ability to lead and supervise others, provide exceptional client service, demonstrate commitment to continuous learning in order to stay current regarding applicable strategies, see the "big picture" as well as the details, display appropriate ethical knowledge and commitment, and exhibit a sense of urgency and commitment to quality and the timely completion of projects
Highly developed software and Microsoft Suite skills

The pay range for this position is listed below. This range represents a good-faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation the firm expects to pay for this position at the time of posting. Actual compensation will depend on a variety of relevant factors, including an applicant’s skills, experience, qualifications, professional certifications, work arrangements, geographic location, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range, and compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. Baker Tilly offers a compensation and benefits package to eligible employees.
The national pay rate range is: $158,000 to $278,900
In CA, pay rate range is: $173,800 to $362,600
