About the Role
We are looking for a Junior Golang Developer who is keen to build a strong foundation in backend engineering. You will work alongside our senior engineers on the services, APIs, and data pipelines that power our IoT and data-driven platforms, and you will grow into larger areas of ownership as you build experience.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain backend services using Golang
Build and support REST and gRPC APIs for large-scale data systems
Write and optimize PostgreSQL queries and handle database interactions
Collaborate with frontend, DevOps, and product teams on end-to-end delivery
Write clean, testable, and maintainable code, and incorporate feedback from code reviews
Take part in design discussions and contribute to architecture improvements
Requirements
1 to 2 years of backend development experience (internships and substantial project work will be considered)
Working knowledge of Golang, including a clear understanding of goroutines and channels
Good understanding of PostgreSQL and relational database fundamentals
Familiarity with REST API design and Git-based workflows
Strong problem-solving ability and a willingness to learn quickly
A sense of ownership over the work you deliver
Preferred Qualifications
Exposure to Docker and microservices architecture
Familiarity with message queues such as Kafka or NATS
Knowledge of gRPC, Node.js, or TypeScript
Experience with Redis, Prometheus, Grafana, or Kubernetes
Understanding of CI/CD workflows
Prior experience in a startup or fast-paced product environment
