About the role

Description supplied by the original job listing.

We’re building hardware safety for autonomous machines — and the team to build it
The mission
As AI moves into the physical world — drones, robots, autonomous systems — the hard question stops being how capable the AI is. It becomes what the machine does when the world stops behaving the way it was validated for. We’re building the silicon that answers that question independently of the AI: a dedicated safety layer that bounds what an autonomous machine can physically do.
Where we are
Priority patent applications filed
Founder took regulated hardware from prototype to FDA 510(k) clearance and CE marking
Next milestone: FPGA demonstrator [drones as first application — confirm before publishing]
We keep the how deliberately brief here. If the domain is yours, apply — we’ll share the rest in conversation, under NDA.
Who we’re looking for
Not one vacancy — an open door to the people we’ll build with. Tell us which layer is yours:
Silicon architecture — SoC architecture, safety-oriented and low-power design, digital or mixed-signal, sensor interfaces
Digital design & FPGA — RTL, low-power design, FPGA prototyping
Verification & validation — UVM, coverage-driven, formal, FPGA emulation, hardware-in-the-loop
Safety & certification — ISO 26262 / IEC 61508 / DO-254 / ARP4754A, safety cases, fault-tolerant design
Hardware security — PUF, secure boot, attestation, fault-injection resistance
Probabilistic inference & estimation — state estimation, Bayesian filtering, real-time algorithms on constrained hardware
Systems & tooling — firmware, HAL, SDK, simulation
Embodied AI & autonomy — drones, robotics and autonomy (flight control, PX4/ArduPilot, ROS 2), for people who want to work at the hardware-safety layer
Who this is for
You’ve shipped real hardware — or the design, verification, safety case or software that made it shippable
You want the hard problems, and you want to build from the start
You’re based in Europe, or ready to be
You’re comfortable with genuine early-stage risk: this is a deep-tech company being built from scratch, not an established team being staffed
How this works
Register your interest: tell us your layer and the hardest thing you’ve shipped in it. If there’s a fit, we talk — under NDA — and that’s where you learn what we’re really building. Contribution can start part-time before funding, under a written agreement covering IP and equity with vesting. Full-time salaried roles follow funding. If you’re currently employed, tell us up front, and any early contribution will be structured so it doesn’t conflict with your current contract.
