Role Description The Design & Project Management Lead is a full-time, hybrid role based in Mumbai. This role is responsible for leading end-to-end interior and spatial design projects, from concept development and client briefing to detailed planning and on-ground execution. Day-to-day tasks include meeting clients to understand requirements, developing design proposals, coordinating drawings and documentation, and managing timelines, budgets, and quality standards. The Lead will coordinate with internal design teams, external vendors, and contractors to ensure smooth project delivery, proactively resolve issues, and monitor progress against milestones. The role also involves overseeing site visits, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory guidelines, preparing project reports, and continuously improving design and project management processes.
Qualifications
Strong design skills, including space planning, concept development, and the ability to translate client requirements into practical design solutions.
Project management capabilities covering scheduling, resource coordination, budget tracking, and risk mitigation across multiple concurrent projects.
Proficiency in design and documentation tools (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar), along with solid skills in creating drawings, layouts, and presentations.
Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and negotiation skills to work effectively with clients, vendors, and cross-functional teams.
Experience with site supervision, quality control, and ensuring adherence to safety standards, building codes, and project specifications.
Relevant experience in interior design, architecture, or related fields; prior leadership or team lead experience in project delivery is highly beneficial.
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, Project Management, or a related discipline is preferred.
Ability to work on-site in Mumbai on a full-time basis, with flexibility to conduct site visits and manage project demands as needed.
