Senior Director, Engineering - Account Identity & Access

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Director, Engineering - Account Identity & Access to join the team of a leader in the Hospitals & Medical Centers space.
This leader will guide a large engineering organization focused on identity, authentication, and access services that support secure digital experiences. The role will shape the technology vision for account identity management while partnering closely with security, product, operations, and other cross-functional teams. The work will directly impact platform reliability, fraud prevention, regulatory compliance, and the user experience across high-scale consumer-facing systems.
Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $200,000 – $220,000 annually
Responsibilities
Lead multiple engineering teams focused on identity, authentication, and access services
Define and execute the long-term technology vision for identity management platforms
Deliver secure and seamless user experiences for registration and account management
Drive modernization of authentication and authorization capabilities
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align business and security objectives
Develop resilient systems supporting millions of authentication transactions
Ensure compliance with security and regulatory requirements
Establish engineering standards for identity governance and fraud prevention
Provide leadership to Senior Managers and global engineering teams
Maintain operational oversight, including platform reliability and incident management
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Management, or a related field
10+ years of engineering leadership experience managing large teams
Proven success leading organizations of 30+ engineers
Deep expertise in Identity and Access Management (IAM) and related technologies
Strong understanding of modern security architectures and identity technologies
Experience designing and scaling consumer-facing platforms
Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills
