About AuthorBanterClub
AuthorBanterClub is an author-brand-building and book-marketing firm focused on helping debut and established authors build their brands, increase visibility for their books, and connect with readers both online and offline.
We develop tailored marketing strategies for individual authors and books, combining thoughtful content, digital visibility, and reader engagement.
About the Role
We are looking for a Book Content Strategist to join our founding team. This role focuses on understanding books, researching their audiences, identifying effective marketing opportunities, and developing customized content strategies.
We are not looking for generic, template-driven content. We need someone who can understand what makes each book unique and translate that into thoughtful, research-driven content ideas. Social media scheduling and publishing will be a secondary responsibility.
Key Responsibilities
Research books, genres, themes, target audiences, and comparable authors to identify marketing opportunities.
Develop creative, book-specific content ideas rather than relying on generic promotional formats.
Research content trends, reader interests, and successful strategies relevant to each book.
Build content strategies and calendars aligned with each author's brand and marketing goals.
Develop content briefs, hooks, and creative directions for our in-house editing team.
Analyze content performance and use insights to improve future strategies.
Coordinate social media scheduling and publishing to ensure timely execution.
What We Are Looking For
Strong research, analytical, and creative thinking skills.
Ability to understand books and identify distinctive marketing angles.
Understanding of different genres, reader preferences, and social media content.
Strong writing, communication, and organizational skills.
An ownership-driven mindset and willingness to work in an early-stage team.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in publishing, book marketing, author branding, or literary content is preferred.
A bachelor's degree in Literature, Journalism, Communications, or a related field is an advantage. Candidates from other disciplines with relevant experience are welcome.
A portfolio demonstrating content strategy, research, or original content ideas is a plus.
Engagement and Growth Opportunity
This is initially a project-based opportunity with hybrid collaboration in Hyderabad, approximately 2–3 days a week as required. Based on performance and mutual fit, the role may transition to full-time with applicable benefits.
As a founding team member, you will help shape AuthorBanterClub's content strategy and approach to book marketing as we grow.
